Gone Fishin – Tips for Enhancing Workplace Creativity

We were born to laugh, to play, to have fun, and to use our imagination. As children, we don’t need to go to school to learn how to play and have fun–it is innate within us, and we lose all sense of time immersing ourselves in our imaginary world and doing what comes natural.

Having said this, these innate attributes can be forgotten as we move forward into adulthood and we adopt a model of “work hard” while focusing on our “to do” list. Thus, this philosophy can lead to overwhelming stress and comprise a large role in our adult life. The idea is to bring balance into this model.

When stress is a profound part of the employee, health issues arise and he or she is closed off to creative ideas. When fun is a profound part of the employee, health issues are minimal or non-existent and he or she is open to creative ideas.

This program is designed to provide tips for the workplace to bring about play time for adults and allow the flood gates to open with creative ideas and to keep morale and health at a high level. These tips can be used for office settings and in environments where the public can be engaged as well.
