Don't you think that trust is at the core of everything that we do? When we're fearful, when we're worried, when we're frustrated, we're not trusting in the flow of life. Oh, can this cause a lot of pain….yikes!

Don't you think that trust is at the core of everything that we do? When we're fearful, when we're worried, when we're frustrated, we're not trusting in the flow of life. Oh, can this cause a lot of pain….yikes!

Recently, I had "trust" staring at me right smack in the face, and I want to tell you about it. My boyfriend and I were in down town Portland, Oregon visiting with some friends. When we got in the car to drive home, which is about a 3 hour trip, we weren't sure how to connect back to the Interstate.

Here's the conversation that ensued….

I quickly offered an opinion, "I think we should go this way," and pointing my finger in the opposite direction we were going. "I truly believe it's back that way." And then another opinion quickly flared up, "You have no idea where you're going. Why would you say you do, but you really don't." What was so interesting is I was aware of two differing opinions within myself, and I caught a glimpse of the dialogue. The talking head at its best .

As I was with these two opposing opinions, I silently tapped with EFT, "Even though I don't know where we're going, I deeply and completely love and accept myself. Even though I think I always have to know, I deeply and completely love and accept myself. Even though I don't trust the Universe or my boyfriend right now, I deeply and completely love and accept myself." It was a silent, sacred moment to allow these opinions to be known and cared for, and to help them not be at war in my head .

Then the floodgates opened….

After I did this round of EFT, the tears just flowed through me as I realized all the times I haven't trusted, and thinking that I KNOW all the answers when I really don't. Oh, something hard to admit. When I completely let go, and stopped offering anything, that's when my boyfriend said, "I've found the bridge back to the Interstate." All because I let go and surrendered, "I don't know."

Oh, these are the three most beautiful words in the world…."I don't know." As we begin to be comfortable with not knowing and trusting in it, we have no idea what will show up from the unknown. It's a magical force that automatically gets sent to us…with love attached on a need to "know" basis .

If you desire to have a session with EFT to learn how to unleash your trust of the unknown, contact me and I'll give you the "unknown" discount. And we'll have a blast communicating with the voices in your head .
flag
